book art gallery

told you i was in a redecorating mood.....:)

here's the kids' bedroom wall gallery (i think it was time to take down the Hollis shrine)

AFTER:
forgive the crookedness, i was rushing to get them up before nap time.
the actual arrangement may yet be changed, but you get the idea.

i used the wonderful wordless book, Tuesday by David Weisner.  i already had the shadow box frames and the book (it was beat up from its days in fourth grade), so this project didn't cost me hardly anything.  the colored words were $1.00 from A.C. Moore.

i love this book, because it is about dreaming (hence, the bedroom is a fitting place), using your imagination, and it's just fun to look at.  the illustrator won the Caldecott Award for his work in 1992.  i've always thought books were art, but this is taking it to the next level.
